Packed and wraped up
Try to find your destination and get some cool tips on traveling
Picture the kind of tourist who winds up in âHelpâ, one of the saddest clubs in Copacabana, because he asked the taxi driver at the airport where to go out in Rio. Heâs the same kind that thinks that the stretch of beach in front of the Hotel MeridiĂ©n (nowadays known as the Hotel IbĂ©ria) is the coolest spot to sunbathe in town. Yep, youâve guessed it - he ended up going back home without ever having discovered the real Rio de Janeiro.
You too can root beyond the common beliefs about Brasil's 'coolest' spots, such as Cabo Frio, as The Times has brought together top travel tips for global destinations, which will be shared at Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show.
The travel show is celebrating its 14th edition this year. Travellers will get to clear up any doubts they might have, since each stand will be manned by guides who can explain each holiday destination, offering a range of tips to help you make the most of your stay. Be it beaches, countryside or safari, youâll leave with all the information you need.
At the show youâll also come across a number of exclusive offers on routes, which will only be valid to people visiting the fair. JungleDrums will of course be there ready to save you from any bad decisions (and Brasilian taxi drivers!).
This is the third consecutive year that weâll be taking part in the show, giving information on the hottest trips Brasil has to offer. And you even get to take away our tips in the form of a special magazine, Jungle Trips, instead of having to organise the thousands of pamphlets youâll collect off all the stands when you get back home⊠phew.
